Building a Dedicated HR Function for a Large Legal Organization
One of Sri Lanka’s largest legal firms required a more structured approach to managing its growing workforce. With employees working across legal, administrative, finance, support, and operational functions, the firm’s HR requirements extended far beyond recruitment.
The organization required a dedicated HR function capable of managing recruitment, payroll, employee documentation, leave administration, HR processes, employee support, and ongoing workforce requirements. Instead of expanding its own internal HR department, the firm partnered with Formix to outsource its HR function.
The Challenge
A large legal organization operates in a highly professional and demanding environment where employee administration must remain organized while legal professionals and management remain focused on client matters.
The firm was dealing with multiple HR responsibilities simultaneously. Recruitment requirements needed to be managed efficiently, employee records required proper administration, payroll needed to be coordinated consistently, and employees required access to structured HR support.
Creating a larger internal HR department would have required additional management resources and ongoing investment. The firm therefore needed an experienced external HR partner capable of managing the complete HR operation.
